# Deleting a Session Type

To delete the existing session type in Bytebeam console,

**1. Access Settings Tab**

Navigate to the **Settings Tab** by clicking on your username at the top right

**2. Go to Session Types Tab and Initiate Session Type Deletion**

Navigate to the **Session Types** tab and click on the **trash**(🗑) icon against the target session type

**3. Fill Details**

Enter the session type name and click on **Submit** button to delete it.

>
> When a session type is running, it cannot be deleted until it is stopped.
